1. You must be at least 18 to participate in The Real X-Men.

2. You will have to pick a character that is not taken by someone else (Go here to find out what characters are already being played).

3. You need to have a working knowledge of your character and the Marvel Universe.

4. You need to be able to post within the given time limits perscribed by the list moderator and owner.

5. You will need to sign up with Yahoo Groups to subscribe to the list (instructions are given at the sign up page).

6. You are limited to only one character per player (at this time).

7. At this time you may play a NPC (non-personal character) as well, but if a new player joins and wishes to play that character you must be willing to give him/her up.

Posting Rules

• Please be sure to give everyone a chance to post to a thread if their characters are involved.
• You may not play another character's mental reactions in your posts. For example you may not post what you think another character is thinking during a battle. A physical reaction is permitted as long as you don't injure/kill that character. For example Havok can punch Gambit in the nose, but his player cannot say that Gambit's nose is broken with out permission from Gambit's player.
• If you post in response to a thread but change the title of it, include the old title in the first line of your post.
• Anyone who wants to introduce a big plot element via means other than their character (like the Alcolytes attack, or the Empire State Building bombing) has to clear it privately with the list moderators before posting it.
• Some things like the sex scenes (presumably between only two people) can be done in one post if they are thought out privately. Please include a note saying that the other party has given permission to post it.
• And last of all, please talk to each other privately. Most of us are either on ICQ or AIM. If you have any questions about chatting via ICQ please email me.
